Salt & Light:

A Guide to

This section includes a series of short articles to learn more about Knoxville in quick snapshots.

The Salt & Light: A guide to loving Knoxville is a reference that details many agencies and ministries that serve our community. The guidebook offers a collection of real stories from inspiring people, the situations that changed their lives and their path to restoration. It informs readers of ways to connect within the city and gives guidelines for effective service.

The journey toward the Salt and Light Guidebook began in 1999 when a group of Christians in Knoxville desired to invest in ministries that were making a difference in our city. This resource was the catalyst to forming Compassion Coalition, which connects approximately 87 churches and numerous community agencies to improve the lives and impact the destinies of hundreds of Knoxvillians.

In order to make this work more accessible, we began digiting the Guidebook in late 2015.
