Christian Automotive Ministries (C.A.M.)
sponsors Car Care Saturday, which provides free automotive maintenance and
minor repairs to Knoxville’s families in need on the 3rd Saturday of each
month at Bridgewater Church (205 Bridgewater Road, Knoxville, TN). A
Hospitality Team welcomes and serves guests and their children while they
are waiting. Our vision is to eventually bring a mechanic on staff, in
order to expand the scope and impact of the ministry to include emergency
repairs, regular vehicle donations and assistance with purchasing quality
used vehicles. CAM serves single mothers, senior
citizens and fixed-income families
Ministries include:
Free oil and filter changes, honest
repair advice and vehicle inspection
Hospitality, Prayer, breakfast,
lunch, snacks, and authentic fellowship
Children’s Activities, Food
Pantry, & Clothing Closet
Classes on Christian Financial
concepts
Vehicle donations (as available)
CAM served 246 families in 2002
and over 500 families since August 2000
Trains other churches to conduct
their own automotive ministries
Team members are from several
different Knoxville churches
A partner church served 110
families through their automotive ministry in 2002
